Raymond R. Beck, 89, of Charlestown died Friday, September 20, 2013.
He was born October 20, 1923 in Galion, Ohio to Ralph Paul and Mary (Bishop) Beck.
Formerly of Galion, he has lived in Charlestown for 44 years and had been a truck driver for F.J. Egner and Coastal Tank Lines. He was a member of Charlestown United Methodist Church and the Ravenna Moose #1234.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years Connie (White), daughters Mary Jo (Scott) Fleishman of N. Canton, OH, Deborah (Carl Dorsey) Speegle of Ravenna, and Sharon Reedy of Streetsboro, sons Robert of Streetsboro, James (Lynn) of Solon, Randy (Pam) of Painesville and Richard (Karen) of Strongsville, 17 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, sister Evelyn Cochran of Edison, OH and brothers Dale, Wayne and Donald all of Galion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Florence McColly and brother Paul Beck.
Calling hours will be from 5 - 7 PM Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel where services will be held at 11 AM Friday, September 27th with Reverend Vernon White and Pastor Greg Hogan officiating.
Burial will follow in Charlestown Cemetery in Charlestown Twp., Ohio.
