STANLEY - Gary William Chronister, 85, passed away July 19, 2013.
He was born in Gaston County, son of the late Augustus "Gus" and Pansy Craig Chronister. He retired from Kings Mountain Printing Co., and was a member of First Baptist Church in Stanley.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years Lillian Lewis Chronister, children Jane McClure and husband Tommy of Stanley, Michael Chronister and wife Zhengmei of Sherrills Ford, NC, brothers Owen Chronister and wife Glo-ria of Bessemer City, Keith Chronister and wife Linda of Iron Station,; grandchildren Melissa Spencer and hus-band Robby of Hickory, Amy Lauten and husband Russ of Winston Salem, Yan Yan Li of Sherrills Ford, and great grandchildren Lexi Spencer and Abby Spencer of Hickory.
Funeral service conducted by the Rev. Dr. Tony Fulbright will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church in Stanley.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Gardens. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, PO Box 490, Stanley NC 28164.
Woodlawn Funeral Home of Mt Holly is in charge of arrangements.

Craig and I were so sorry to hear about Gary's death. you are in our thoughts and prayers. We sent a card but it came back today with a note saying address was incorrect. We will try to find the correct address and mail it again. Love, Marian and Craig
