Linda Hall Obituary

CHARLOTTE - Linda Ann Jenkins Locklair Hall, 55, made her Earthly transition into the arms of Jesus with her grandparents and her beloved pets, Spanky and Kitty, waiting on her at the gates of Heaven. Her family was at her side. She fought a valiant battle with cancer for one and a half years. Linda, a native Charlottean and lifetime west side resident, was born January 15, 1957, the daughter of Jessie Jones Jenkins and Elmer Alton Jenkins at Mercy Hospital. She was a 1957 graduate of West Mecklenburg High School. She was a former member of Hoskins Avenue Baptist Church and a current member of Thrift Baptist Church. Linda loved her family, always had a smile and made friends wherever she went and with whomever she worked with. She was a lifelong friend to whomever she made friends with, strong willed in times of adversity, loved animals and adopted many strays. Her saying was "I will not let a stray starve," and wound up adopting them every time. She treated them as her children. Her favorite places on this Earth were Bryson City, NC and the Outer Banks. These two places brought her so much peace and solace. She always said she and God walked at OBX, and she could feel Grandpa Jones' presence on Alarka in Bryson City. She worked 3 places in her lifetime; Cavin's Business Products for 11 and 1/2 years as a lab techni-cian, K Mart Corporation in Pineville for 18 years part time as a pharmacy technician and in customer service, but the love of her work time was with Carolinas Healthcare for 16 years, 7 at CMC-Main, 8 at CMC- Mercy and 1 at Enterprise Administration Pharmacy at the airport. She put her heart and soul in every job she performed making sure the patients always came first. She leaves behind to cherish her memory the love of her life and soulmate since November 19, 1994, Samuel Edward Hall Sr., her beloved children from her first marriage to the late Donald Steven Locklair, daughter Sharon Rose Locklair Swanton and husband Steven of Ruther Glen, Virginia, son Daniel Alan Locklair and wife Roxanne of Charlotte. Her other children Sammy Hall Jr., James Hall, and Keith Hall who she loved dearly. They always knew she loved their daddy and took care of him. She also leaves behind her parents, Jessie and Elmer Jenkins, her brother David Jenkins and wife Terry, niece Lacey Devine and husband Jason, great niece Brystol, great nephew Jacob, nephew Dustin Jenkins and her grandkids; Jack, Cassie, Jessalynn, Timmy, Danielle, Adam and Cody. She loved being a grandma!! She also leaves behind her beloved pets; Lexi and Zoey, and her three cats. Others she leaves behind are numerous aunts, cousins, and uncles and other family members from her marriage to Sam. Special mention; her Aunt Gail, Susan Majka, Mark Byrum, Amy Wetzel, Victor Maske and Ms. Rosemary Dedrick who would always be her lifelong friends.
