CHERRYVILLE - Annie Lee Morgan Hester, 82, of Martin Road, went on to be with our Lord and Savior on Feb. 16, 2014.
A loving mother, supportive grandmother and a friend to all who knew her, "Nannie" was born on Sept. 17, 1931, and was a graduate of West Lincoln High School. She retired from working in the textile industry and was a long time hair dresser of her home business, Annie's Cut and Curl. One of Nannie's favorite pastimes was danc-ing and she is now dancing on the streets of gold in Heaven.
She is preceded in death by her husband Mr. Paul Luther Hester, her parents Mr. Chester Morgan and Mrs. Georgia Adair Morgan; brothers Bill Morgan, Boyd Morgan and Charlie Morgan; granddaughter Morgan Hester and great-granddaughter, Shirl Ann Knowles.
Survivors include her son Luther Hester and wife Wanda of Cherryville, granddaughter Julie Darty and husband Gary of Cherryville, granddaughter Jamie Bartolomeo and husband Pete of Leicester NC, grandson J.P. Hester of the United States Navy and grandson Dakota McLeymore of Cherryville. Great-grandchildren include Drew Knowles, Evan Knowles, Trenton Black, Becca Boo Knowles, Tripp Black and Trey Bartolomeo.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home. At other times the family will be at the home of Luther and Wanda Hester.
A celebration of life graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Paul Mace officiating.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

so sorry about your mother,talked with her xmas eve,and she to my mom in florida,she wished us both happy birthday,to me and my mom, that day,she grew up,went to school with my mom,evelyn henderson,in bessemer city,we don't take the paper,my neice told me about this,so sorry for your loss,got home from church tonight and found out,she was a good woman,loved talking with her.
