GASTONIA - Delilah Norris Withers, 94, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
Delilah was a native of Haywood County daughter of the late Isaac Lafayette and Essie Cantrell Norris and wife of the late Carson Bynum Withers.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sons and daughter-in-law, Charles Withers, Gary Withers and wife Ann.
Delilah was a homemaker and a long time member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Ralph Withers and wife Carol; daughter, Marie Beard and husband John; daughter-in-law, Joyce Withers; fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 12, 2013 from 9:45 am to 11:00 am at Sandy Plains Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 am with Dr. Stephen Hensley and Rev. Richard Brown officiating. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.

Marie and family: We at Sandy Plains looked your mother and she always had a smile. She was faithful to her God and loved coming to church. We will certainly miss her and our prayers are with you and your family.
