MOUNT HOLLY - Charles "Charlie" Joseph Paluszak, 52, of Mount Holly, died Friday, March 15, 2013, at Robin Johnson House.

He was born Aug. 30, 1960, in Newark, Ohio, a son of Mary Jeanette Hinger Paluszak and the late Bernard Leo Paluszak.
Charlie was a graduate of Spartanburg Technical College and served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

While stationed at Marine Corps Air Station El Toro, he was awarded the Meritorious Mast for his services as an air traffic controller. Charlie was a mechanical engineering technician by trade, most recently with Toomey & Associates Consulting Engineers. He was a member of Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church in Belmont, where he was a founding member of the Knights of Columbus Council #11076.

Charlie took great pride in the accomplishments of his children, was a loving husband and enjoyed the company of his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. He enjoyed fishing, camping and rooting for the Carolina Panthers.

In addition to his mother, of Boiling Springs, S.C., Charlie is survived by his devoted wife of 22 years, Rita Weisen-horn Paluszak; his children, Andrew, Claire, Leo, Thomas and Claudia Paluszak, all of Mount Holly; father and mother-in-law, the Rev. John "Jack" and Rosemarie Weisenhorn of Gastonia; siblings and spouses, Catherine and Harry Michalowski of Richmond, Va.; Mary Bernadette and Terry Hill of Thomasville; Anne and Daniel Roy of Rich-mond, Va.; John and Emily Paluszak of Simpsonville, S.C.; and Valerie and Michael Giggie of Clarkston, Mich.; nu-merous nieces and nephews; and many loving brothers- and sisters-in-law.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Paluszak.

The family will receive friends Sunday, March 17, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 18, 2013, at the church with Father Frank Cancro as celebrant, assisted by the Rev. John "Jack" Weisenhorn and the Rev. Chip Wilson. Interment will be private.
