Bazzle, Roy* - Cramerton  
CRAMERTON - Roy E. Bazzle, 94, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, March 27, 2015. He was born Oct. 24, 1920, to the late Robert & Myrtle Bazzle. Mr. Bazzle was preceded in death by his lovely wife, Velda Huffstickler Bazzle; and sons, Roy "Eddie" Bazzle, Ronnie Ray Bazzle and David "Wayne" Bazzle. He is survived by his daughter, Wanda Bazzle Strickland; daughters-in-law, Jackie Bazzle and Sheila Bazzle; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Roy was a lifelong member of the McAdenville Wesleyan Church, where he enjoyed great friends and beautiful music. He spent many years singing in gospel quartets. Roy Bazzle's legacy is of a man who loved God, his family and gospel music. Pepaw was always ready with a good "When I was a boy" story, which fascinated us as children. He and Memaw loved us unconditionally, and we felt their prayers. No more worries Pepaw. Now rest with Him. A funeral service, officiated by Pastors Pat Hannon and Brian Matherly, will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, at McAdenville Wesleyan Church, 300 Wesleyan Drive, McAdenville. The family will receive friends from 1 until 1:45 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park. Memorials may be sent to Hospice and Community Care, P.O. Mr. Barrett was born April 13, 1940, in Catawba Cunty, to the late Robert Phillip and Gertie Coffey Bar-rett.A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Monday in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5 until 6:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Warlick Funeral Home is serving the Barrett family.

Boyd, Kathleen* - Mount Holly  
MOUNT HOLLY - Kathleen Fox Boyd, 95, passed away March 26, 2015. She was born in Gaston County, daughter of the late John Floyd and Ollie Dagenhart Fox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Grant Boyd, a great-granddaughter, Andrea Paige Moore; two sisters, Leathy I. Fox, and Pansy Fox Deitz; two brothers, Don-ald B. Fox and James N. Fox. Kathleen was a kind, gentle, loving soul who always put everyone before herself. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. We will cherish her memory with great love. She is survived by her daughter, Ellen B. Moore and husband Wendell of Belmont; grandson, Jeffrey Todd Moore, great-grandchild, Madison Moore; brother, Billy C. Fox of Mount Holly; brother-in-law, Allen H. Boyd and wife Rachael of Clover, S.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to offer special thanks to her special caregiver Brenda Buchner and to the staff at Courtland Terrace for care given to Kathleen. A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Boyd will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mount Holly with the Rev. Robbie Moore officiating. YORK, S.C. - Elizabeth McCorkle Brice, 85, of 200 Bratton Ave., passed away March 25, 2015, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill. Mrs. Brice was the daughter of the late Hugh Jetton McCorkle and Lula Belle Calhoun McCorkle. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held 2 p.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church of York. Barham, John* - Gastonia  
GASTONIA - John Tyler Barham, 57, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, March 10, 2015. He was born in Asheboro, N.C., on Jan. 30, 1958, and was the son of the late B. Francis and Nancy McNeely Barham. He graduated from Asheboro High School and studied engineering at Temple University. John was a member of King Solomon-704 Masonic Lodge in Gastonia. John traveled the world as a working musician. An excellent bass guitar player, he enjoyed an extensive career in music. He performed with many different bands in his early years, even having a short stay in Saudi Arabia. John settled in Gastonia where he worked at Belmont Textile Machinery as a field engineer. He enjoyed his job and made lasting friendships there. "JB," as he was known to his friends, found and married the love of his life, Jan Grice, and they enjoyed many happy times together, especially at Lake Lure. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Janice Renee Grice Barham; and his brother, B. Francis Barham Jr. John is survived by his sister, Betty Carter (David), of Asheboro; two brothers, Bob Barham (Gwen), of Asheboro, Mac Barham (Gail), of Raleigh; sister-in-law, Sharon Barham, of Charlotte; four nieces and two nephews. The family would like to express our appreciation to Kay Grice, Sam and Jacqueline Jenkins for their constant support and sincere love for John. Memorial Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2015, at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park, 2205 Willamsburg Drive, Gastonia, NC 28054.
