LINCOLNTON - Bettie Dair Boothe Keiser, 82, of Old Mill Road, died on Wednesday, June 15, 2016. Mrs. Keiser was born April 12, 1934, in Roanoke, Va., to the late Aubrey and Mary Greene Boothe. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery on Saturday, June 18, 2016. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2016, at Warlick Funeral Home. Warlick Funeral Home is serving the Keiser family.

Kendrick, William Edward "Peanut"  
GASTONIA - William Edward "Peanut" Kendrick, 41, died June 15, 2016 in Gastonia. Born in Chowan County, he was the son of Hazel K. Gwinn of Gastonia and the late William Lee Young. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Genesis Church in Gastonia. Burial will follow at Armstrong Cemetery. The visitation will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Faith Funeral Service of York, S.C. is handling arrangements.

Keyser, Teddy* - Gastonia  
GASTONIA - Teddy Howard Keyser, 73, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2016. Born in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Donald and Lucy Keyser. A loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, Mr. Keyser retired from Butler and Stowe, CPA, where he served as Operations I.T. Manager. He was a graduate of UNC Charlotte and a longstanding member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. At Holy Trinity, he served on the church council and was active in the daily life of the church. He was an avid collector and gardener. Mr. Keyser was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served as a navigator in the US Navy. During his 22 years of service to his country, Mr. Keyser was stationed in Pensacola, Fla., Marietta, Ga. and Antarctica where he was involved with Operation Deep Freeze. Mr. Keyser retired from the Navy with the rank of Lt. Commander. Mr. Keyser is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Ann G. Keyser; sons and daughters-in-law, Brett and Rebecca Keyser, Warren D. Keyser and Brett Elizabeth Clement, and James G. and Andrea A. Keyser; grandchildren, Ryan James Keyser, Elizabeth Ann Keyser, Jackson Gregory Keyser, Madelyn Sarah Keyser and Emma Kate Keyser; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Jodi Keyser. Family and friends of Mr. Keyser are invited to attend his visitation beginning at 5 until 7 p.m. Friday at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia with his funeral service to be held 11 a.m. Saturday in the sanctuary of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. The Reverend Brack East will officiate. Interment will follow in Gaston Memorial Park with military honors presented by the Gaston County Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 805 S York Street, Gastonia, NC 28052 or the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675. Killian, Vera* - Stanley  
Vera Mae Killian, 100, passed away on June 21, 2016. The second daughter of the late Jessie Claude Killian and Rena Sifford Killian, she was born on Aug. 30, 1915, in Gaston County. Vera's first jobs after leaving the farm were in sock mills in Cornelius, NC and Lincolnton, NC. She later worked in a hosiery mill in Mr. Holly, NC before accepting a sales position at J.B. Ivey's and Co. in Charlotte in 1946 – a career in the stationary department which lasted for 33 years. Preceding her in death were a brother, John Wiley Killian in 1946; a sister, Isabell Laney Killian in 1983; and her older sister, Jessie Irene Killian in 2014. Two nephews, Robert Killian Hampton died in 1995 and John David Hampton died in 1996. A great niece, Danielle Elyse Hampton passed away in 2013. Survivors include a brother, Claude Alonzo Killian and a sister, Frances Killian Hampton, both of Stanley, NC. Also surviving are a niece, Rebecca Kay Killian of Stanley; two nephews, Richard Howard Hampton, Jr. of Huntersville and Tracie Brunt, fiancé, and William Kimball Hampton of Stanley. The widow of nephew John David Hampton, Angela McGee Hampton of Stanley also survives. Other survivors include four great-nieces and one great-nephew. Also surviving are five great-great- nephews and two great-great-nieces Services will be held on Thursday, June 23 at 3 p.m. at Unity Presbyterian Church, Denver, NC of which Miss Killian had been a member since 1983. Pastor Trisha Lytle is officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at Unity. Burial will follow at Martha's Chapel Cemetery at 176 Killian Farm Road. King, Jerry* - Gastonia  
GASTONIA - Jerry Dale King, 56, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 20, 2016 at Robin Johnson House. He was born Oct. 11, 1959 and was a native of Mt. Holly. He is survived by his wife Angela King, son Ben King, mother Jearline Saunders and brother Ronnie King. Jerry Dale was an avid fan of NASCAR and followed Panthers football and UNC Tarheels basketball. He enjoyed spending time with his three cats. A service to celebrate the life of Jerry Dale will be held at 4pm Sunday June 26, 2016 at Bethlehem Church, south campus, officiated by Pastor Dickie Spargo. The family will be receiving friends immediately following the service. Memorials may be made to Holy Angels, P.O. Box 710, Belmont, NC 28012 in memory of Jerry Dale and in honor of Cory. Woodlawn Funeral Home of Mt. Holly is serving the family.
