Bernice Casto

GASTONIA - Bernice Leadbetter Casto passed away March 18, 2013.

Bernice "Bunny" was born in Logan, Ohio, on July 22, 1913.

She graduated from Logan High School and the American Academy Beauty School in Gastonia. She later taught at the American Academy Beauty School. Bunny has been a member of the Mason's Women's Section for over 60 years. She was a member of Chapel Grove Baptist Church and the Women's Missionary Union.
Bunny is survived by her son, James T. Voris and wife Sherry; nine grandchildren, twenty three great grand-children and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George D. and Emma May Bell Leadbetter; daughters, Martha Voris Barlow, Judith C. Parnell; sister, Ethel Leadbetter and four brothers.

A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday in the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors with the Rev. Roger Overton officiating.

A visitation will be held following the service.

She will be buried at the Concord Cemetery in Groveport, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Samaritans Purse.
