Bobby Glover

BELMONT - Bobby Franklin Glover, 74, died Jan. 17, 2013, at his home.

A native of Gaston County, he was one of ten children of the late John Franklin and Kate Flowers Glover.

Bobby was a carpenter who worked in the textile and construction industries, retiring from Piedmont Processing. He attended Unity
Baptist Church in Belmont. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and sports fan, as well as a loving husband.

Survivors of Mr. Glover include his wife of 33 years, Frances Wilma White Glover of Belmont; stepsons, Joel Shuler of Chester County, S.C., Franklin Shuler of Clover, S.C.; stepdaughter, Annette Shuler Dillon of Gastonia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Mary Jean Glover of Gastonia, and Charles and Loretta Glover of Belmont; sister, Mildred Whitner of Belmont; six stepgrandchildren including special granddaugh-ter, Paige Head of Gastonia; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

The family will receive friends 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at McLean Funeral Directors of Belmont.

A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at Evergreen – A Quiet Place officiated by the Rev. Joe Lawing.
