Charles Carringer

DALLAS - Charles Lynn "Charlie" Carringer, 78, passed away March 31, 2013, at his home.

He was born Dec. 12, 1934, son of the late Elberry Carringer and Callie Odom Carringer.

Mr. Carringer was a native of Cherokee County, NC. He retired form Firestone after 38 years of service and was a member of U.R.W. 1133.

A funeral service will be held 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Road, Gastonia officiated by the Rev. Fain Farmer.

The family will receive friends 2 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.

Mr. Carringer is survived by his wife of over 20 years, Louise Queen Carringer; sons, Ricky, Gregg and Jerry Carringer; stepsons, Ray and Matt Lambert; daughters, Connie Rice, Donna Boyd; stepdaughter, Shannon Payne; brother, Wayne Carringer; grandchildren, Charlie, Ashley, Dillion, Alexis, Cameron, Houston, Sissy, Julie, Michael, Zackary, Tyler, Jacob, Brittney, Joshua, Diane; three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, eight sisters and six brothers.
