Clota McAlister

YORK, S.C. - Clota Daisy Brimer McAlister,100, entered into rest on Jan. 2, 2013, at Uni-Health Care in Rock Hill.

The funeral will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Central Baptist Church, with Pastor Carey Caldwell officiating.

Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens.

The visitation will be 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Central Baptist Church Family Life Center.
Clota was a daughter of the late Floyd Brimer and Jess Eddleman Brimer. Clota worked at the Cannon Mills in York for 48 Years.

She was an active member at Central Baptist Church and member of the Eastern Star. Clota celebrated100 years of life last June with family and friends. Clota lived life to the fulllest and was a joy to everyone who knew her.

She is survived by two sisters, Ruby White and Nell Schools; two brothers, Lewis Brimer and Floyd Brimer; her daughter-in-law,
Mrs. Melvin (Emily) McCalitser; four grandchildren, Steve McCalister, Linda McCalister, Carolyn Rogers and Patricia Sneeder; four great-grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James C. McAlister and son Melvin E. McCalister; sisters, Helen Tallent, Ethel Blanton and Jesse Huffstetler; and brothers,
Leonard Brimer and Ed Brimer.

The family would like to thank the staff at Rock Hill Uni-Health Care for the love and care given to Mrs. McAlister.
