DALLAS - Donald L. Huffman, 78, passed away Jan. 20, 2013, at the Robin Johnson House, Dallas.
He was born Feb. 17, 1934, in Abilene, Kansas, son of the late Charley Edward and Viola Milham Huffman. Mr. Huffman was a
member of Restoring Hope Foursquare Church, Dallas and was an active member of Gideon's International for almost four years.
He was owner/operator of Dairy Queen in Dallas, for almost 43 years. Donald was a U.S. Navy
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Restoring Hope Foursquare Church, Dallas, officiated by Pastor Fred Morrison and Pastor Joe Hensley.
The family will receive friends 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Road, Gastonia.
Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost eight years, Betty Terry Huffman of the home; children and spouses, Sandra Huffman Hall and spouse, Joseph, Michael Leroy Huff-man and spouse, April all of Gastonia, Randal Don Huffman and spouse, Robin of Dallas; step-children, Sharon E. Hodgin and spouse, Willard of Bessemer City, Richard Allen Terry and Spouse, Barbara of Lincolnton; grandson, he raised as a son, Swain Huffman; brother, Ed Huffman of Hemit, Calif.; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first spouse, Patricia Wolf Huffman; daughter, Connie Sue Huffman; brothers, Dean and Charles Huffman.
