LINCOLNTON - Donald Reid Keever Jr., 61, eldest son of Dorothy Smeltzer and Don Keever Sr., went home to be with the Lord that he so dearly loved on Friday, Oct. 18, 2013.

Left behind for now are his loving wife, Beverly Morgan Keever; his daughter, Jessica Harris; his sister, Teresa Hart and husband Tim; his brother, Roger Keever and wife Jane; his best friend, Hal Helton and wife Karen; his in-laws; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the fifth floor nursing staff at Presbyterian Hospital, the wonderful staff at Mount Holly Rehab, and a special thank-you to Don's nurse, Melissa Bryant.
A celebration of the life of Mr. Keever will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hardin Community Baptist Church, 548 Hardin Road in Dallas, with Pastor Clay Ledford officiating.
