GASTONIA ? Edward ?Petey? Reed, 55, passed away May 7, 2013, at his home.
He was born March 8, 1958, in Gaston County, son of Betty Brazell Beck, of Gastonia, and the late Edward Glenn Reed.
A funeral service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Westside Community Church of God, Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Jack Ford.
The family will receive friends 2-3 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by sons, Eddie Reed and his wife, Crystal Greene, Jeffery Reed; brother, Jimmy Reed and his wife, Tina; sisters, Lisa Reed, Sherry Carter and her husband, Dempsey; three grandchildren.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by grandson, Jeffery Scott Reed Jr.; and grandmother, Ruth Brazell.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
