BESSEMER CITY - Eleanor Ledford Kiser, 88, went home to be with the Lord on May 19, 2013 at her home in Bessemer City.
She was born in Cleveland County to the late Cleophas and Essie Ledford.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Henry L. Kiser in 1999, four brothers, Billy, Everett, Floyd and Clarence Ledford, four sisters, Edith Morrison, Florence Allen, Gertrude Champion and Betty Ledford.
She is survived by three children, son and daughter-in-law, Don and Elaine Kiser; daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Harold Garrett and Shirley and Butch Gunckle; Sister, Dolly Carpenter; Loving Caregiver Evonna Hall; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren with one great-grandson expected in July; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at Carpenter's Funeral and Cremation Services, Cherryville from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. A celebration of life service will be held at Hephzibah ARP Presbyterian Church in Bessemer City at 2 p.m. Wednesday, officiated by the Rev. Steven P. King.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
