Eva Banda

DALLAS - Eva Hazel Eslinger Banda, 83, of Rhyne Road, died April 14, 2009, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.

A native of Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late Creed W. and Hattie Sparks Eslinger.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Revival Tabernacle with the Rev. Robert Gittens officiating.
Burial will be at Hillcrest Gardens.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Carothers Funeral Home, Stanley.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Marcelo Garcia Banda of the home; daughters, Marsha Banda of Nashville, Tenn., Dolores Baucom and husband, Craig of Bessemer City, Mary Soto and husband, Larry of Bakersfield, Calif., Josephina Alejandro and husband, Tony of Sabinal, Texas; son, Jesus Banda and wife, Diane of Sabinal, Texas; brother, Donald Eslinger and wife, Jeanette of Sun City, Calif.; sisters, Lucille Conner of Bryson City, Doris Hovis and husband, David of Gastonia; two grandson, Paul Rolen and wife Tabatha, Matthew Rolen and wife Casey, both of Nashville, Tenn.; and two great-grandchildren, Ashley Rolen and Travis Rolen, both of Nashville, Tenn.
