LINCOLNTON ? Evelyn Louise Benfield Schronce Haynes, 87, of 449 Calvary Church Road, Lincolnton, died Friday, May 10, 2013.
Her funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2013, at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. David Jones and the Rev. Ray Pennell officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:15 p.m. Monday at Calvary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Haynes was born Jan. 25, 1926, in Gaston County and was the daughter of the late Phiffer George Benfield and Blanche Abernethy Benfield. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Schronce. She was retired from Crown Converting in Lincolnton.
Mrs. Haynes is survived by her husband, the Rev. William W. Haynes, Port Royal, S.C.; one son, Roger Schronce of Wis Dells, Wis.; one daughter, Bobbie Eurey and husband, Bill, of Cherryville; four stepdaughters, Treva Haynes of Morganton, Pattie Tucker of Winston-Salem, Ann McNeil of Jacksonville, Fla., and Shea Werner of Beaufort, S.C.; two brothers, Jennings Benfield of Lincolnton and Jack Benfield of Lincolnton; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
