Frances Hord

CHERRYVILLE - Frances Irene Campbell Hord, 85, of Mary's Grove Road, died Saturday, April 6, 2013, in Carolina Care after an extended ill-ness.

Frances was born on July 8, 1927, in Lincoln County, the daughter of the late Winfield Scott Campbell Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Fredell Campbell. She was retired from the Howell Manufacturing Company, a member of the First Baptist Church and with her late husband, Carl David Hord, very active in the senior citizens of Cherryville.
Others that preceded her in death are brothers, J. R. Campbell, William "Bud" Campbell, W. Scott Campbell Jr. and Emanuel Campbell; and sisters, Pinkie Sanders, Sue Sneed, Laura Annie Campbell and Wilma Davidson.

Survivors include a brother, John Campbell and wife, Pat K. Campbell, of Cherryville; sisters, Katherine Mull and husband, Walter, of Waco, and Louise Adams, of Bessemer City; sisters-in-law, Vergie Campbell and Sue Campbell, of Cherryville, and Judy Campbell, of Shelby; and nu-merous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, Cherryville, with the Rev. Dr. Vince Hefner officiating.

Burial will follow in Capernaum Cemetery, Waco.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Carpenter's Funeral & Cremation Services. At other times, they will be at the home of John and Pat Campbell, 427 Paul Beam Road, Cherryville.
