Frank Helderman

DALLAS - Frank Houston Helderman, 86, of Nelda St., died May 18, 2014, at Brian Center of Lin-colnton.

He was born April 13, 1928, in Lincoln County, to the late Houston and Vertie Gregory Helderman. He was a member of Alexis Baptist Church and was a Korean War Veteran of the United States Army. He was retired from American & Efird, Gastonia Plant after 31 years of employment.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Bernice Willis Helderman; brothers, Farris and Doyt Helderman; and sisters, Corene Marlow, Cordie Wright, Catherine Perkins Garner, and Dorothy Wright.

Survivors include three nieces, six nephews and their families.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 22, 2014, at Hillcrest Gardens with the Rev. Dr. Sandy Marks officiating.

The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the cemetery.

The family would like to express appreciation to the employees of the Country Kitchen in Dallas for being an extended family to Frank, to Trish at Bojangles in Dallas for her care and concern, to the staff at Brian Center for the care and love shown to him during his stay there, and to Billy at the Country Kitchen for being the best friend Frank ever had.
