Grady McCuen

GASTONIA - Grady Garlin McCuen, 71, of 136 Stowe Road, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, Janu-ary 31, 2014.
He was born in Gaston County, son of the late Grady B. and Geraldine Jones McCuen.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by seven siblings.
He was owner of Grady McCuen Floors of Belmont, a member of Unity Baptist Church of Belmont, a member of South Fork Masonic Lodge 462 and the Scottish Rite Bodies.
He is survived by his wife, Diane McCuen; five children, Monica Phillips and husband Scott of Gastonia, Donna Smith and husband Joe of Fallston, Tim Ferguson and wife Lynn of Cramerton, Terry Johnson and hus-band Cliff of Gastonia, Kim Heustess and husband Robert of Belmont; twelve grandchildren, Jessica Childers, Graylin and Tucker Heustess, Jerad Johnson, Lindsey Burchfield, Jodie and Mitchell Smith, Timmy Ferguson, Colleen, Meghan, and Daryl Mackinnon, and Laura Pilkington; six great-grandchildren; and special friend Ralph (Buck) Kendrick.
A service to celebrate the life of Mr. McCuen will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at Unity Baptist Church, Belmont with Reverend Joe Lawing officiating.
Interment will follow in Edgewood Cemetery, Lowell.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, February 3, 2014 at the Church.
