BELMONT - Harold Monroe Hendrix, 77, died Nov. 20, 2012, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
A native of Hickory, he was the son of the late Virgil and Vertie Sigmon Hendrix.
He was a courier for Davis Delivery.
The family will receive friends from noon to 12:45 p.m. Saturday at McLean Funeral Directors of Belmont.
A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery with Deacon Jack Weisenhorn officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Tommy Long Hendrix; son, Harold "Scott" Hendrix and wife Nancy of Shelby; daughters, Connie Pittman of Texas, Sherrie Mullis and husband, Eric of Stanley; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; sisters, Kay Bolick and Judy Cooper both of Hickory.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, Gerald David Hendrix, Harold Stephen Hendrix and Terry Lee Hendrix; grandson, Joshua Ivester & brother, Joel Hendrix.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Angels, 6600 Wilkinson Blvd., Belmont, NC 28012.
