GASTONIA - Harold "Robby" Floyd Robinson Jr., 49, passed away April 23, 2013, at his residence.
He was a native of Gaston County, born April 25, 1963, to Harold Floyd Robinson Sr. and Brenda Armstrong Marra.
Robby was a loving devoted husband, daddy, son and disciple of our Lord, Jesus Christ, who was his rock. A lifelong faithful member of First United Methodist Church in Dallas, where he served in leadership roles in the youth program and children's worship services and was an active member of the Discovery Sunday School Class. His lifelong love of sports led him to be called "Coach" by many. Robby was a loyal and true friend, loved by all and his humble servant's heart will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Floyd and Ola Armstrong and Jessie and Myrtle Robinson.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years Paula Wright Robinson, daughters Alex Robinson and Hannah Robinson, father Harold Floyd Robinson Sr. and mother and stepfather Brenda and Jim Marra.
He had a close loving extended family and friends.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Dallas.
Memorial service will be 7 p.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Caroll Flack officiating.
