Joseph Rychlik

GASTONIA - Joseph Thomas Rychlik Sr., 49, of 203 John Kelly Lane, died Jan. 15, 2013, at the Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas.

He was born in Buffalo, N.Y., son of the late Edward Rychlik, and served in the US Navy aboard the USS Kalamazoo.

Survivors include his mother, Nancy Rychlik of Minnesota; a son, Joseph T. Rychlik Jr., his wife and their son of Wilson; four brothers, Ron Rychlik of Mount Holly, Eddie Rychlik and wife Rhonda of Charlotte, Tommy Rychlik and wife Dawn of Tennessee, David Rychlik of St. Lake City, Utah.

A graveside service with military honors will be held 10 a.m. Monday at Salisbury National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly.

The family extends special thanks to Alice Johnson and the staff of Hospice of Gaston County.
