Kenneth Howard Parker

KINGS MOUNTAIN - Kenneth Howard Parker, 65, of 211 Bridges St., died Feb. 9, 2013, at Kings Mountain Hospice.

He was born in Cleveland County, son of the late Howard Lee Parker and Margaret Rippy Davis, stepson of Nathan Davis.

He was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Kings Mountain, retired from FMC after 31 years.

He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army.

He liked camping, enjoyed NASCAR racing and was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

Survivors include wife, Vickie Smith Parker, Kings Mountain; stepfather, Nathan Davis, Kings Mountain; son, Kevin Parker and wife Paige, Kings Mountain; stepson, Tony Davidson II, Shelby; daughter, Shannon Barnes and husband Eric, Gastonia; brothers, Sony Parker and wife Patsy, Crouse; Roger Parker and wife Brenda, Bumpass, Va.; sister, Dee Dee Howell and husband Ken, Grover; Mona Hinson and husband Eddie, Kings Mountain; Myra Price and husband Eddie, Kings Mountain; grandchildren, Jordan Parker, Trinity Barnes, Langston Barnes, Quintin Davidson, Alyecce Davidson.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Keith Parker officiating.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at Harris Funeral Home and at other times at his home.

Interment will be at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain.
