Magnolia "Maggie" Parr Holbrooks

DALLAS - Magnolia "Maggie" Parr Holbrooks, 77, of Dallas passed away peacefully January 31, 2014 sur-rounded by her loving family at the Robin Johnson House.
Maggie was a native of Gaston County, born June 14, 1936 to the late Henry and Ada Cook Parr.
Maggie was a member of Garver Memorial Baptist Church, Gastonia, and had retired from textiles. Maggie was a loving person to all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Willie and Gaston Parr and a sister Mary Frances Walker.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Herman Holbrooks; daughters, Libby (Kenneth) Grubbs of Kings Mt.; Juanita Holbrooks of the home; Grandchildren Crystal Hughes (Doug), Angie Bryson (Terry), Great grandchildren Meagan Davis (Chris), Gavin Bryson, great great grandson Jotham Davis; a sister Agnes "Nellie" (Robert) Holloway.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3, 2014 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home.
Celebration of Life service will be at 3:00 p.m. at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Reverend David Stewart officiating.
Interment will follow at Evergreen "A Quiet Place" with the Releasing of the Doves.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Michael Case and the wonderful staff at the Robin Johnson House.
