STANLEY - Margaret N. Hutton, 75, went home to be with her Savior on Jan. 7, 2013, after a long illness.
She was born Margaret Nadine "Deen" Knight to the late Marcus L. and Georgia Aleene "Neyman" Knight on Sept. 16, 1937, in Chattanooga, Tenn.
She was a member of Lucia Baptist Church in Stanley and was an inspiring and encouraging witness for the Lord to all who knew her and never let a good opportunity to witness to a stranger pass her by.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Susan Stallings and grandchildren Jimmy, Megan and Sean of Stanley; her daughter and son-in-law, Louise and Elmer Warner and grandchildren, Heather and Rachel Wayman and great-grandchildren, Sirena, Kendra, Simon and Alijah of Wildwood, Ga.; her sisters, Betty Vaughn of Rossville, Georgia and Peggy Ann Smith of Soddy Daisy, Tenn. and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Moore Hutton Sr.; her sisters, Wynoma Knight Peardon and Pearl Knight Uren; her brothers, Raymond and Thomas Knight.
A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Hutton will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly with the Rev. Mike Davis officiating.
Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Charlotte.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
