Mark Miller

MOUNT HOLLY - Mark Dean Miller, 49, of 141 Robindale Road, died Nov. 6, 2012.

He was the son of Sarah "Millie" Taylor Miller of Mount Holly and the late Benjamin "Benny" Franklin Miller.

He was a firefighter with the Mount Holly Fire Department, a US Naval Reserve Veteran, was formerly with the East Gaston Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the former Mount Holly Life Saving Crew. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, a member of the CBA, and participated in numerous motorcycle charity rides.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by an uncle, Charles Miller and wife Patti of Stanley and an aunt, Iris Lewis of Char-lotte; a number of cousins including Alex Taylor of Charlotte and J.C. Lewis of Charlotte; and special pets, Sugar, Maltese, and Brutus.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Miller will be held 3 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Angela Pleasants and Mitch Murrow officiating.

Burial will be at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday at the church.
