Nina Fisher

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Nina Mae Jones Fisher, 100, died July 4, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
Widow of August Fisher, she was born Aug. 29, 1912, in Eastman, Ga., to the late Monroe Martin Jones and Alma Ruth Nixon Jones of Cramer-ton, NC and Eastman, GA.
Mrs. Fisher loved caring for her family and enjoyed cooking and crafts. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and a lifetime mem-ber of Eastern Star #184 in Cramerton, NC.
Surviving are her granddaughter's husband, Steve Anton and two great-grandchildren, Taylor Webster and Nathan Anton of Michigan; a brother, Charles Jackson Jones (Jenny) of Jamestown, NC; a sister, Ethel Metz of Spartanburg, SC; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Donald Fisher; granddaughter, Traci Anton; brother, Bill Jones; and sis-ter, Blanche Cain.
The family will receive friends 10 to 10:45 a.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall.
Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m., at the church, conducted by the Rev. Michael Shackelford.
Burial will be 3 p.m. Monday at Gaston Memorial Park, 1200 S. New Hope Rd., Gastonia, NC 28054.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 415 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
