Paul Dellinger Jr.

GASTONIA - Paul Louis Dellinger Jr., 79, passed away March 25, 2013, at Robin Johnson House.

A native of Mecklenburg county, he was the son of the late Paul and Christine Dellinger.

Mr. Dellinger was a United States Army veteran, a member of Unity Baptist Church in Gastonia and the National Railway Society.
He was a member and former master of Holland Memorial Masonic Lodge 668. He was a graduate of Gastonia High School, attended Presbyterian College and NC State University. Paul was a train enthusiast, NASCAR fan and an avid Wolfpack fan.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Dellinger; son, Chris Dellinger and wife Roxane of Lincolnton; Cheryl Bradshaw and husband Lester of Char-lotte; sister, Jane Baker of Tulsa, Okla.; grandchildren, Rachel Bradshaw and Jake Bradshaw; nephew, Carl Baker; and brother-in-law, David McHam.

A funeral service will be held at 11am Friday at Unity Baptist Church in Gastonia with the Rev. Roger Mathis officiating.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Carothers Funeral Home in Gastonia.

The family would like to express their thanks to Dr. Kilpatrick, Dr. Meakin and Dr. Spina for their service and dedication during his illness.
