BELMONT - Paul Marcus "Marc" White, 61, died Feb. 25, 2013, at his home in Belmont.

He was born Feb. 19, 1952, in Forsyth County, son of the late Ralph Leon White II and Greta Holcomb White Sink.

Marc was well known in the flooring industry, with 40 plus years of experience. His vast knowledge was admired by many. He was a doting poppa, adored by his grandkids, which were his pride and joy. Marc's fun loving spirit always had him scheming some adventurous plan. He enjoyed playing golf and his passion for fishing led to many early mornings, stinky coolers, and awesome lunches. But, there's no place he'd rather be than with his family on Amelia Island.

Survivors of Mr. White include his loving wife of 43 years, Beverly Bowen White of Belmont; sons and daughters-in-law, Paul Marcus Jr. "Marc" and Michelle White; Jason Scott and Stacy White, all of Gastonia; grandchildren, Avery, Bowen, and Jackson White; father, J.D. Sink; brother, Mark Sink and wife Amy; sisters, Lynda Jones and husband Richard; Marsha Kaufman, all of Winston-Salem; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Leon White III.

A service to celebrate Marc's life will be held 3 p.m. Thursday in the Bumgardner Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors of Belmont with the Rev. Doug Baltzegar officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
