BELMONT - Shirley Jean England Harkey, 68, died peacefully at home on Feb. 19, 2013.
A native of Robbinsville, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Rosella Lane England.
She was a member of East Belmont Free Will Baptist Church. Shirley was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother that was al-ways there.
A service to celebrate her life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at East Belmont Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Scottie Stewart officiating.
Interment will follow in Gaston Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at McLean Funeral Directors of Belmont.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Donald Curtis of Dallas; son and daughter-in-law, David and Nikki Atchley Harkey of Belmont; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tony and Myrtle England, Randall and Linda England all of Robbinsville; grandchildren, Mandy Glass, Elizabeth Belew, James Chris Harkey and Taylor Harkey; great grandchildren, Eli Johnson and Bella Calhoun; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" Henry Harkey.
