GASTONIA - Wilma Jean Summey Bumgardner, 78, passed away March 24, 2013 at Gaston Memorial Hospital in Gastonia.
She was born Aug. 3, 1934 in Gaston County, the daughter of the late Charles Brady and Mary Lee Paysour Summey.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church in Dallas, officiated by Pastor Jim Shaw.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the church cemetery.
Mrs. Bumgardner was a member of Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church in Dallas.
She is survived by her children, Renee and Bo Mackey, Keith and Monica Bumgardner of Gastonia; grandchildren, Lori Myers of Lincolnton, Britt and Missy Myers of Lake Wylie, S.C., Heather Bumgardner of Gastonia, Keith Bumgardner Jr. of Greenville, Daniel Mackey of Lincolnton, Jesse Burrell of Virginia Beach, Va.; great-grandchildren, Tyler Watts of Lincolnton, Britt and Carson Myers of Lake Wylie, S.C., Case Youngblood of Gastonia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Max "Sonny" Bumgardner; brothers, CB, Leroy and Raymond Summey; sister, Helen Summey.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
