Shelby Stroupe Obituary

LINCOLNTON - Shelby Jean Poarch Stroupe, of Lincolnton, passed away March 16, 2012, at her residence.
She was born March 1, in Gaston County to Mary Fields Poarch of Dallas and the late Jack Poarch.

Shelby was employed by Cornwell Drug and Riverside Seafood. She attended Crouse Baptist Church.

She is survived by sons, Todd Stroupe and Ann of Lincolnton, Chad Stroupe and Annette of Dallas; brother, Steve Poarch of Dallas; sisters, Joyce Watkins of Dallas, Roseann Curran of Taylor, SC; grandchildren, Austin, Seth, and Wesley Stroupe.

A funeral service will be held on Monday at 4 p.m. at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home Chapel, Bessemer City with Revs. Fain Farmer and Darrell Bost officiating.

Visitation will be on Monday, from 3:00-4:00 pm at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Long Creek Cemetery, Dallas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Allen "Soupie" Stroupe.
