MT. HOLLY - James Joe Preidt, 51, died April 7, 2014, at the Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas.

He was born in Shelbyville, Ind., son of John Preidt Jr. and the late Barbara Wells Preidt.
Jamie was a graduate of Purdue University and was employed as a financial underwriter for Accenture.
In addition to his father he is survived by his wife, Suzanne "Suzie" Carrico Preidt; son, John Preidt, daughters, Alyssa and Kara Preidt of the home; step-sons, Joseph and Scott Ernstes of Ind.; brothers, John K. Preidt and Alan Dagley, both of Shelbyville, Ind.; sisters, Peggy Briscoe, Sheryl Akers, Dawn Rutherford all of Shelbyville, Ind. and Kay Campbell of Greenwood, IN.
A celebration of his life will be held 2 p.m., Friday, April 11, 2014, at Carothers Funeral Home in Gastonia with the Revs. John
Palonero and Jeff Padgett officiating.
Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
