GASTONIA - Larry Gene Braswell Sr., 60, died March 19, 2013, at his residence.

He was a native of Gastonia, son of Frances Marie Cato and the late Julius Lonnie Braswell.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. Thursday at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Friday in the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia, with the Rev. Mike Criswell officiating.
Interment will be in Westview Gardens.
Larry retired from the Textile Industry and was a US Army Veteran.
Survivors include his son, Larry Gene Braswell Jr., daughters, Chastity Braswell and Patrick O'Riley Hill, Tabetha and husband Mike Falls, grandchildren, Scott and Epsy Willard, Jeffrey Willard Jr., William Shane Mercer, Lidea and Haiven Falls, great-granddaughter, Cherry Lynn, brothers, Tony Cato, Steve Cato, Ricky Cato and Phillip Braswell, special friend Alisha "Lucy" Baker.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife of 23 years Frankie Donette Faulkner Braswell, brother, Christopher Braswell, sis-ters, Deborah Ross and Lori Braswell.
