LINCOLNTON - Larry J. Tucker, 65, passed away March 1, 2013, at his residence.

Born June 13, 1947 in Henderson County, he was the son of the late Lucious Tucker and Mary Faucette Tucker.

Larry was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Lincolnton and was a veteran of the US Army serving in Vietnam.

In addition to his parents, a stepdaughter, Annette Barker and sister, Maria Parrish preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Jean Tucker of the home; one daughter, Tympar Jane Tucker; one stepson, Robert Muse and wife, Shelia of Denver; four grandchildren, Haley Barker Glass, Kayce Muse, Martina Muse, Robert Colt Muse; one brother, Jerry Tucker of Henderson; one sister, Ann Hedgepath of Henderson; two nephews; three nieces.

A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Monday at Macedonia Baptist Church in Lincolnton with the Dr. Rev. Randy Setzer officiating.
American Legion Post 16 of Newton will perform military honors.

The family will receive friends, prior to the service, from 2 to 2:45 p.m. at the church.
