She was born July 29, 1948, in Gaston County, daughter of the late Ervin James Williams and Mary Earney Williams.
Mrs. Pearson was a retired school teacher, who had taught at Webb Street School for over 30 years. It was her life's passion to inspire Special Needs Children.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd., Gastonia officiated by the Rev. Leon Humphrey.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.
Mrs. Pearson is survived by: sons, Bradly Pearson and wife Sebrena, Timothy Pearson all of Lincolnton; daughter, Tammy Robinson and hus-band Rick of White Stone, SC; brother, Wesley Williams of Texas; sister, Ester Parrish of Kings Mountain; grandchildren, Adam, Wendy, Caryn, Mandi, Bryan, Katrina, David, Abigail, Seth; great-grandchildren, Devin, Andrew, Madison, Emmy, Connor, Logan.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: husband, Robert Wayne Pearson; brothers, Jack and Gene Williams; great grand-daughter, Courtney Robinson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Special Olympics North Carolina, 2200 Gateway Centre Blvd., Suite 201, Morrisville, NC 27560.
