GASTONIA - Raymond Richard Cline, 90, passed away July 31, 2014.

He was a native of Gaston County and the son of the late Thomas Harold Cline and Margaret Alice McLean Cline.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4 until 5 p.m. Sunday at McLean Funeral Direc-tors of Gastonia. The funeral sevice will begin at 5 p.m. in the Founders Chapel with the Rev. Danny Shortridge and the Rev. Dr. Sammy Oxendine officiating.

Interment will be in Hollywood Cemetery.

Raymond was a member of Life Church of God in Cramerton, US Army WWII Veteran and was award-ed the Purple Heart while serving in Holland. He also owned several rental properties.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Kathleen Smith Cline, sons, Raymond "Smitty" Smith Cline and wife Wanda, Thomas Boyd Jones Jr. and wife Brenda and Jeffrey Dean Cline, grandchildren, Joshua Smith Cline, Candace Dawn Stephens and husband Dereck and Justin Dean Cline and wife Taylor.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Thomas Howard Cline and William Hayden Cline.
