KINGS MOUNTAIN - Robert "Bob" Lee King, 93, passed away July 10, 2013 at his residence.

Born June 5, 1920, in Habersham Mill, Ga., he was the son of the late Rullis and Martha Grant King.
Mr. King was WW II United States Army veteran and a member of the WW II Last Man Club of Gaston County. He served 3 ½ years under General Patton 4th Armored Division, spent time in Germany, France, Italy and Belgium and was a two time Purple Heart recipient. He was a member of Living Hope Baptist Church and was retired from Dixie Yarns.
He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Bouldin and husband Clint; grandson, Brian Bouldin and wife Kim; and great grandson, Jeremy Bouldin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Holland King; sisters, Mary Lou Free, Viola Gun, Alice McConnell, Berdie Elrod and Maudie King.
A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday in the Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home in Gastonia with the Revs. Danny Gardner and Ken Faulkenberry officiating.
Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park with military honors provided by Gaston County Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
