GASTONIA - Russell Aubrey Keck Jr., 83, passed away Friday, January 3, 2014 at the Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas.
Russell was a native of Danville, Va., son of the late Russell and Mabel Keck.
Russell retired from Gaston College. He was a member of the Gastonia York Rite Bodies, the Gastonia Lodge #369 AF and AM and also an Oasis Shriner. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his loving wife Ethelene Keck and three daughters, Karen and husband Ken Eaker of Terrell, NC, Sharon and husband Curt Dellinger of Stanley, and Cindy and Burl Turner of Shelby NC. Proud Grand Daddy of three grand children, Travis Dellinger, Lauren and husband Logan Kale, and Caroline Dellinger and one great-grandchild Lexi Kale.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 6, 2014 from 10:00 until 11:00 am at McLean Funeral Directors. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am in the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia with Rev. David Christy officiating. Interment will be private.
