DEMOREST, Ga. - Amy Elizabeth Reeves Hall, 93, of Demorest, Ga., went to her Heavenly home to be with the Lord on Friday evening, Nov. 16, 2012, at her residence.

Born Dec. 4, 1918, in Franklin, she was a daughter of the late Thomas T. and Ida Bell Love Reeves. Mrs. Hall was a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church and was a school cook with the W.P.A. program. Granny Hall, as she was affectionately known, with her passion for caregiving, left a legacy encouraging her children and grandchildren to always take care of others and to fully rely on God in every decision made in life. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, canning, and was well known for homemade biscuits and cakes.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hall was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Winston Wilbanks; daughter-in-law, Wilma Hall; granddaughter, Becky Woods; and several brothers and sisters. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Survivors include daughter, Catherine Hall Wilbanks of Mount Airy; son, James Robert Hall of Gastonia; grandchildren, Tim Hall, Robert Hall, Jeanna Hall Smith, Rose Marie Melton, Rhonda Wilbanks, Robin Wilbanks, Cindy Mixon, Tammy Wilbanks; 17 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A Celebration of Life will be 1 p.m. Monday at Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Rice, the Rev. Mike Wilson and the Rev. Scott Ledbetter officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012.
Mrs. Hall's children would like to extend a special thanks to all of Mrs. Hall's caregivers, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center and Dr. Manzoor and Staff at Longstreet Clinic Internal Medicine.
