GASTONIA - Betty Jackson Owenby, 74, passed away Oct. 5, 2012, at the Brian Center in Gastonia.
She was born Nov. 27, 1937 in Gaston County, the daughter of the late Ervin and Margaret Broome Jackson.
Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a charter member of United Baptist Church in Gastonia.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Raymond Johns Jr.
Mrs. Owenby is survived by: her sons, Jeff Owenby, Ronnie Owenby and his wife, Sandie; sisters, Nancy Stowe, Marylee Threat, Shirley Warren; grandchildren, Ben Owenby, James Owenby; great-grandchildren, Logan and Chloe Owenby.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Fred Owenby.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
