DALLAS - Boyce Harris, 90, passed away peacefully on Dec. 19, 2013, at Robin Johnson Hospice House.

Born in Gaston County, he was the son of the late Walter Boyce Harris and Johnsie Bell Holland Harris.
Mr. Harris was a retired mechanical engineer and served our country in the US Army during World War II where he fought in five major battles in the European Campaign from 1943 to 1946.
Mr. Harris is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Marion Clemmer Harris; son and daughter-in-law, David Randolph Harris and Holt An-thony Harris; daughter and son-in-law, Anne Harris Cloninger and Mervin L. Cloninger; grandchildren and spouses, Leslie Cloninger Gibson and Richard Gibson, Jason Daniel Cloninger and Rebecca Ramsey Cloninger, Walter Miles Harris, and Kathryn McCarter Harris; great-grandchildren, Blair Anne Gibson, Evan Lee Gibson, Corrie Danielle Cloninger and Josie Grace Cloninger; brothers, James R Harris and wife, Carolyn R. Harris, and Ted D. Harris and companion, Betty Pasour; many nieces and nephews.
Service for Mr. Harris will be private.
