GASTONIA - Brenda Bingham Whitworth, 69, passed away June 16, 2012, at her home.
She was born June 18, 1942, in Gaston County, daughter of the late Johnie Albert and Cecil McMillan Bingham.
She attended Lowell/Smyre United Methodist Church.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Road, Gastonia.
The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.
She is survived by: sons, Bobby Joe Cathey, Bo Cathey; sisters, Mildred Howard, Judy Gray; brothers, Ted Bingham, Woody Bingham; grandchildren, Krysta Privette, Jessica Cathey, James Cathey; great grandchildren, Braelyn and Camdyn.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: brothers, Virdon, George and Clifford Bingham.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
