LEESBURG, Fla. - Charles "Dudley" Orren Sr., 89, formerly of Belmont, passed away Feb. 17, 2014, at South Campus Rehab.

He was the son of the late Walter Dewey and Nola Roper Orren and husband to the late Geneva Y. Leatherman Orren.
Dudley was an US Army veteran, member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans and a member of East Belmont Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son, Charles D. Orren Jr. and wife, Sylvia of Leesburg, Fla.; brothers, Jack Orren and wife, Verla Mae of Mint Hill, Larry Or-ren and wife, Brenda of Charlotte, eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the McLean Funeral Directors of Belmont.
Celebration of life service will be noon Friday in the Bumgardner Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Taylor officiating.
Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park with Military Honors.
In addition to his parents and wife, Dudley was also preceded in death by his son, Robert Orren, daughter, Pamela Alexander, sisters, Mary Or-ren and Margaret Webb.
