GASTONIA - Diane Cooper Brooks, 69, of Gastonia, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 30, 2012, at her home.
She was born Jan. 7, 1943 in Cleveland County, the daughter of the late Arthur and Selma Blanton Cooper.
Mrs. Brooks was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who will be missed very much. She was a member of Charity Independent Baptist Church in Gastonia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Blondie Howard.
Diane is survived by her husband of over 52 years, Delmos L. Brooks; son, Ricky Brooks; daughter, Chrystal Turlington and husband, John; brother, Steve Cooper and wife, Brenda; sisters, Rita Cooper, Patsy Ball and husband, Wilbur; grandchildren, Ethan Brooks and Wesley Whitworth.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York. Road, Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Sam Robbins. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
