LOWELL - Doris Smith Crotts, 85, passed away August 7, 2018.

She was born September 29, 1932 in Lexington, SC, daughter to the late Lester and Nina Price Smith.

She is survived by her loving husband, R.B. Crotts; children, Don Trapp (Debbie), Glenda Carpenter (Jim), Michael Crotts (Shannon), Allan Crotts (Jennie) and Belinda Cook (David); 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Jonathan Ryan and seven brothers.

She was most affectionately known to as Mawmaw. Mawmaw spent over 50 years married to the love of her life, RB (Pawpaw). She lived a beautiful life filled with love always ministering to those around her with her family and church family by her side. Mawmaw rejoiced in all of the treasured times her family gathered around her dining room table for countless scrumptious meals. Because of her infectious smile, Mawmaw never met a stranger and quickly became friends with all whom she encountered.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Stanley Total Living Center for their loving care.

The family will receive friends Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm at Woodlawn Baptist Church in Lowell.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 2:30 pm with Dr. Marc Francis and Dr. Mitch Evans officiating. A graveside service will follow at Gaston Memorial Park with Rev. Ivan Davis officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cancer Services of Gaston County and Woodlawn Baptist Church.
