BELMONT - Doug Alexander passed away peacefully at his home on Sept. 2, 2013.

He is the son of the late Hugh Leslie and Florence Elizabeth Seymour Alexander.

Doug was a Navy veteran and retired after twenty-six years of service from Jordan Graphics. Doug also worked at Haygood Lincoln Mercury af-ter his retirement. He was an avid Clemson fan and enjoyed golfing. He also enjoyed taking part in coaching baseball with his grandson, Matt.

Doug was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed.

Survivors include, his loving wife of thirty-two years, Bonnie Duncan Alexander; stepsons, Tony Teague and wife, Pam and Jeff Teague; daugh-ters, Milissa Pierce and husband, Samuel, Pam Conder and husband Bryon; brothers, Gordon Alexander and wife, Diane, Jason Alexander and wife, RuthAnn; sisters, Adrienne Riddle and husband, Mitch, Penny Merritt and husband, Ben Sr.; grandchildren, Matt Teague and wife, Karmen, Mandy Alexander, Darryl Ivester, Brandon Teague and Michelle Wilder.

Visitation will be 3 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday at McLean Funeral Directors of Belmont.

Celebration of life service will follow immediately after the visitation in the Bumgardner Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Taylor officiating.

In addition to his parents, Doug was also preceded in death by his brother, Mark Alexander and his beloved pet, Ajay, who is waiting for him at the Rainbow Bridge.
