GASTONIA - Edna Holman Styers, 89, passed away June 27, 2012, at Alexandria Place.
A native of Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late Paul C. and Evie Frady Holman, wife of the late Jack Wil-son Styers.
Edna was a member of Loray Baptist Church and a former member of First Weslyan Church. She was a loving wife and a dedicated mother.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Ginny Styers of Gastonia and her grandchildren, Caro-line and David.
She is also survived by her brother Joe E. Holman and his wife Jane of Gastonia as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Glenn and J.D. Holman and sisters, Mabel Knuckley and Maxine Workman.
A funeral service officiated by the Rev. Ben Wingard will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Crowders Creek ARP Church with the visitation one hour prior from 10 to 11 a.m.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Crowders Creek ARP Church, 207 Crowders Creek Church Rd., Gasto-nia, NC 28052.
